First Choice Credit Union offers members several overdraft options. Overdraft Protection, Courtesy Overdraft Program and our newest overdraft option is our Overdraft Line of Credit.
Overdraft Line of Credit
- Credit Limits Range from $500.00 to $1,000.00 and are based on your credit history*
- Rates are based on the prime rate as published in the Wall Street Journal *
- There is no NSF Fee or Courtesy Overdraft Protection fee
- Available with any of our four checking account products
- Available for First Choice Credit Union VISA Debit card transactions
- Payments are due the 20th of each month and must be made by automatic transfer
- Interest is charged on the unpaid balance only
- No cost to keep the line open if you don't use it
Other Overdraft Options Available
Overdraft Protection - If funds are available in your share account, FCCU will automatically transfer the amount needed to cover the check. Transfers will not be made that would result in bringing your share account balance below the $50.00 minimum required balance.
Courtesy Overdraft Program - If the funds are not available and the account qualifies for our Courtesy Overdraft Program, then FCCU will cover the insufficient funds up to $500 (this includes the fee).
All FCCU checking accounts qualify for the Overdraft Protection. Members can then choose between using our Courtesy Overdraft Program or applying for our Overdraft Line of Credit.
* Our Fair Lending Program allows us to better serve members in a way that is consistent with their credit history. Regardless of what their credit history is, it is important that each member feel they can rely on us to offer the fairest and best rate possible. The rate a member pays on a loan will be determined by their credit history and the term of the loan.
